Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been an obsessive scrapbooker. Cutting and pasting photos of every life moment big or small into journals covered with stars and fairies. With the invention of the Internet, I moved that obsession over to LiveJournal, then MySpace, the short-lived Uber (anyone?) and now Wordpress. My work schedule doesn’t leave as much time to make these journal entries anymore, but here it finally is— my tribute to Phoot, a scrapbook of every heavenly moment we all shared, in chronological order.

The setting:Ashokan Center, Olivebridge, NYThe motivation:Cabins, lakes, campfires, and fun! Bring a ton of vintage boy and girl scout gear to Phoot Camp 2012 and attempt to dress 35 photographers. The styling:Some of the outfits were predetermined, some happened on the spot, and some were chosen by the subjects themselves. The clothing and accessories were a mix of the subjects childhood uniforms, visits to vintage shops, eBay and Etsy finds. It was great to see all the characters come to life.Check all the portraits here.Follow us at Phoot Camp
